Grecian Shoemaker butterflyI was lucky enough to catch a photo of this beautiful butterfly, which is apparently Catonephele numilia, common name Grecian Shoemaker, Black Velvet or Spotlight Catone.
In trying to identify it, I found photos from southeast Brazil (number 240 on this very long page), Mexico, and a Omaha, Nebraska zoo.
